Auburn board in a -32 Roadster.

It's not every day you get a chance to cut down an original Auburn dashboard. I find this board by a friend , Dr. Mark Van Buskik in Indiana.
Since Mark knew what this board would quit their fate in. So it was a good deal. It turned out that there was a lot of work to get it to fit. When this came from a sedan and not a roadster . Initially I installed the mod 's full depth. To make room in the 32 I had to taper it almost an inch to make it fit . But I was not really happy with it and that it was not exackt same as the car that I have in my head. So it was to cut out the back . I narrowed the width of it to become good. The problem was that you had to weld in the strips I just cut away for now it became too narrow = duplication Phuuu
I got a total redesign corners in total to get them to fit. Wanted to try to retain the original color and make it look old out. Once everything was fitted and welded what it just a little lead that was missing. Wola and now it is clear.

Then it was time to move on to the next operation with the car. Let's see what happens next.

My Frenzel supercharger renovation.

My Frenzel supercharger renovation.

Got to make new gaskets for the house and that the thickness of the gaskets, adjust the clearance between the housing and the impeller. Where had to use different thick gaskets to obtain a good distance.

The funny thing about this is that none of them are units that I've seen are the same. It's the little things that are different on each one. The 4 small screws on the house is designed to be able to remove a ball bearing. Without them there will be problems with the job. A good detail missing on many others. Although the pulley forward available in various designs. The basic idea was that it would sit on a wedge and a lock nut. This model has a better solution. Then it sits on a sleeve so it can be replaced if you want to run two or three belts.

Original adapter for carburettors were taken on my Frenzel so it was to produce a new one. This is not 100% like the original. They allow to run with one or two carburetors. Thanks to Stefan for help.

There was a lot of work to adjust the game with the impeller. When changing shims, you had to assemble the the whole unit to measure distance. Time consuming When it was finished so shimmed into the gears to get them to run perect. When this was done, it was clear for the final assembly. Of course, SKF bearings and shims were used.

My Frenzel supercharger renovation.

Having had the good fortune of owning and renovating a Frenzel to Flathead Ford.
Will attach photon so you can see how such a look and work inside. 'm Very impressed with the fine job they have done with them. All are handmade. I was very impressed with how clean and nice it was inside. Then it is lubricated by engine oil. And you  know how it usually looks in an old flathead. More will come
